On Oct. 26, dom+bomb, the Inland Northwest’s leading size- and gender-inclusive fashion brand, hosted a fashion show with designers, models, vendors and performers from around the region. Nearly 200 people filled the Felts Field historic events center to celebrate fashion, creativity and expression.
“We wanted an opportunity to thank our community for supporting us for the past four years and to celebrate our models and their beauty in all its forms.” said co-founder Delena Mobley.
To help ensure the event was as accessible as possible, Vexing Media provided live streaming and captioning.
During the day, models walked in workwear and streetwear styles for an all-ages crowd. The evening portion featured gothic, active wear, and formal wear runways in sizes 7XL to XS, ending with drag and burlesque performances by Cherri Bepsi, Edacious March, Luna Tik Hex, Gigi Spott, Mx. Pucks A’Plenty, and Alethea Dumas. The evening was emceed by Eric Posey, with a special performance by Mona Liza Millión.
“The response to the show was incredible,” said co-founder Kim Blessing. “The models are already planning next year’s event, and one said to me through tears, ‘I didn’t know something like this was possible.’”
A Black-woman and queer-woman owned business, dom+bomb design and curate ethically produced clothing, along with tailoring, mending, and personal styling services.
