Ownership mentality versus worker mentality: Changing your mindset

In a world where mentorship and community are more crucial than ever, bridging the gap between business leaders and aspiring young entrepreneurs can develop a collective mindset change. Imagine a platform where small youth groups can tap into the wisdom, experience, and achievements of accomplished business owners.

Enter the world of podcasting, where connections are being made and futures are being shaped. “Be Heard with Yb” offers a safe place to connect with a community of voices, uniting all for the purpose of creating a mindset of ownership that detours away from the workers mentality that plagues our communities. Unlike your traditional networks, podcasting creates a way to unite future generations with past generations to help each other explore the possibilities of a broader reality, one where it is possible to learn from those who have first-hand experience in a foreign world that has been hidden in plain sight due to the lack of awareness and information.

Empowering the youth should also be met with action. The heart I have for young men and women of color leads me to search for the purest of truth, bravery, and information that can be utilized within the social structure of our communities. Sometimes you must just dream BIG.

Having a passion to create is a gift that lies in the souls of our youth; I wish to give them knowledge while fostering understanding and commitment. This is a community effort to change the mindset we have adopted in order to grow towards exploring the benefits of ownership and leadership. By taking steps in the direction of opportunities, we will help to create a space that we value, embracing the principles of moral conduct and code. Growth is on the horizon and all it takes is for ideas to be nurtured to grow so dreams can be accessible for many.

Highlighting success stories while providing mentorship and guidance will spark a movement that can live for generations. With open arms we must accept the challenge, showing that we have the power to control a world that we can feel comfortable leaving to future generations, a world that respects the efforts made by us, for us. Believing starts with seeing and before you can see the unseen, you must first have vision. Vision, in the Dr. Myles Monroe “is the ability to see beyond what is, to what can be.”

It is important that we understand the reason behind unity and learn to empower each other. Where the numbers are low, the passion is high. Spokane, let’s use our unique abilities to do the work needed in our community and be the leading example to our youth, giving them a torch that will shine so bright that it will be seen by the world. This demonstrates the power of collective action, compassion, and community driven initiatives.

The power of media can transform lives and it is a strong mechanism to promote ownership in a way never before displayed.
